Review: Benefit's They're Real Mascara

What it is:
"A jet-black mascara that lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates lashes for a spectacular "out-to-here" look".

What it does:
"This mascara features an exclusive brush specially designed to maximize the performance of the long-wearing, glossy formula revealing lashes you never knew you had! Staggered bristles grab close to the root, boosting length and volume beyond belief. The precision bristles on the custom-domed tip lift, define, and curl even your tiniest lashes. The end result is luxurious, silky lashes that won't smudge, clump, or dry out".

My Opinion: Well as a fan of maybellines great lash and colossal cat eyes i was alittle hesitant on purchasing this product but after hearing so many raves i decided i must try it...
Honestly this mascara is one of the best ive tried so far... I love mascara and i sometimes use two or three at once to get that look i wanna go for... Unfortunately unlike my two daughters i wasnt blessed with long thick lashes so I do wear false lashes at times, and sometimes on a normal at home days i dont wanna wear it. They're real mascara does exactly what it says, It lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates lashes. It really does make your lashes look thick without giving you the thick clumpy feeling... You get the appearance of false lashes without even wearing falsies...

I do recommend this mascara to all who is looking for a good mascara that will give them long wearing, long thick lashes..
They do have a mini size if your hesitant on purchasing the big size which is $23.. At sephora, ulta and even macys the small mini size is only $10.. And you do get a good amount of usage from the mini...
So dolls if you have tried this product or want to, or just want to let me know whats your favorite mascara leave a comment below describing your thoughts... I would love to hear from you...

Review: Josie Maran Argan Oil

What it is:
A lightweight oil that can be used as a daily moisturizer or treatment for skin, hair, and nails.

What it does:
This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that's rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne.

My opinion: At first i was alittle skeptical about using oil on my combo skin as where my nose gets really oily and i break out easily.. Like who thought using oil to moisturize oily skin would work? But it actually does work and it does hydrate your skin without making it oily.. I initially noticed a change the first time i used it... And i noticed how nice and hydrated my face felt after a week and how clear my face appeared.. I went a few days without using it on my face and noticed how dry my cheeks were and how my tzone seemed really oily. I realized i really enjoyed the results it brought so i began using it again... Its my all new favorite daily moisturizer..

I also used it on my hair and it did leave my ends looking healthy and undry.. I have yet to use it on the rest of my body or nails but i will be trying it soon.. I hate how this cold weather has been drying up my skin...

So ladies i do recommend this product.. I do have the small sample size and i will be purchasing the more larger size real soon... If you have tried this product letme know your results and thoughts or even if you want to try it, leave me a comment :-)

*Foundation 101*

Ok Ladies so not everyone is a pro using makeup and sometimes picking a foundation can be so damn confusing.. Now first off you need to know your skin type..
Do i have a cool undertone? Warm? or Neutral?

Cool Undertone
~These colors are of your skin tone which is Pink/ Red /Rosy under tones
~Most cool skin tones get sun burn
~You have blue veins on your inner wrist or under eye

~Silver or platinum jewelry compliment your skin

Warm Undertone
~Yellow or Red colors in you skin
~You have Olive, Honey, Golden, undertones
~You  tan easy if your a warm skintone

~Gold Jewelry compliments your skin better

Neutral Undertones

~You have a nice blend of all of the colors

Now after knowing your undertones its time to decide on how much coverage you are looking for.

Sheer Coverage
~Slight Coverage..
~ It will blur your minor imperfections and even out and enhance your skin

Medium Coverage
~This foundation covers minor imperfections on its own
~This coverage is most common, the skin still looks natural

Medium to Full Coverage
~Very buildable coverage - Which means you can apply your foundation like a medium coverage and go back and cover problem areas again
~ Natural looking skin with coverage

Full Coverage
~Cover heavy scarring and discolorations
~Most pigmented foundation
~Used in dramatic makeup for the Appearance of Flawless Skin

Foundations come in different forms, its up to you to decide which looks and feels better on your skin. So i say try them all and see what suits you better.

Liquid
~Liquid foundations are very popular, they blend very well
~Works well on normal, combination and dry skins
~Liquid foundations can give dewy, luminous or natural finishes depending on the type.
~Combination skins may use a loose powder to finish the look and prevent shine in the T-zone.
~They also have in almost all coverages

Creme
~ Offer full coverage
~Are ideal for normal and dry skin, because they usually add moisture.
~They give a luminous finish which is flattering on dry, dull skins.

Mousse
~Give the best finish on combination to oily skin
~They leave a powdery, matt finish.
~They are easy to apply
~Ideal everyday makeup and additional powder is not needed

Powder/Mineral
~Oily and combination skin can use a powder over the foundation to help prevent shine.
~Oily skins will need to use powder across the whole face
~Pressed powders can be used as a complete foundation on oily skin
~Loose powders are the ideal finish to any foundation and help its staying power

OKay so Ladies here it is.... My knowledge of foundations and i hope this works for you and helps you determine which is right for you.. If you have any questions you may contact me by sending me a message or commenting... Til next time dolls, Stay Beautiful!

A Night Out

Hey Dolls

I went out Sunday night for a family dinner and although i wasnt feeling too good i still had to get dolled up :-). I just wanted to share my look for the night.. I had an amazing time at the restaurant that i forgot to take pictures of my outfit . But i will see if anyone else took pics and if so ill add them.

I finally was able to try out my Con Air Hot Rollers for the first time and i absolutely love it.. I went for more of a loose curl kinda look and it came out great..I have very straight thin hair and usually curls dont stay in my hair for too long( ugh they fall so quickly) but these lasted quite a while and it was very soft and natural looking. When they started to fall it still had quite a curl at the end and was just beach wavey. (um wavey? idk maybe it sounds ok.. lol) Well i def cant wait to continue trying it out and trying different styles with it.. I did use acouple drops of 100% Argan Oil b4 i started so that my split ends wont look dry and i finished with just a light spray of Hairspray (i dont really use hairspray)

And as for my makeup i went for a light pink eye and bright lips... What i used was

Primer: Mirabella face and eye primer ( first time using)
Foundation: Relvon ColorStay
Blush: Milani Mineral Luminous (used lightly)
Highlighter: Mai Couture Highlighter paper
Eyes: Bh cosmetics 88 cool matte palette
Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 glide on Zero
Brows: Milani Brow Pencil and spoolie brush
Lips: MAC Girl about Town

Well as i stated above i really enjoyed my night with my family and extended family. I enjoyed my look and recieved alot of compliments. If you ladies would like any tips, reviews, tutorials of any of the products ive mentioned or any others message me or comment. Til then ladies, stay beautiful!

ALiL AbouT Me

Hey Dolls,

Welcome!! So im guessing you would wanna know more about me (I mean i would wanna know about the blogger and how shes gonna keep my interest).

About me: Im 27 from Brooklyn Ny and im currently planning my move to Pennsylvania. I have two kids and a fiance. I always had passion for makeup and fashion.. I did go to school for fashion but unforunately didnt finish because i was a single mom and it can be pretty difficult..

I just honestly want to share tips and tricks that i've learned along the way, to like minded women who cannot afford to go to school to learn the trade. Also for the moms out there who, like myself, cannot always afford the Highend brands.

I live in the city that never sleeps, where trends are born and where dreams do come true. I enjoy the glam life of the city. I enjoy walking up the streets of the city and exploring the fashion trends and makeup looks. I do plan on taking classes after the move once i've settled in.

So all is welcomed and i hope you enjoy my tips, tricks, and personal opinions as well as my reviews. Later Dolls...
