Ipsy Bag April 2013

So my Ipsy Glam bag is finally here... If you guys don't know what ipsy is, its a subscription service you pay $10+tax for 4-5 Beauty products. Some are deluxe sizes and some are actually full sizes. The 4-5 products always come in a makeup bag which changes each month and follows a theme.
This months Theme was
Pretty In Pink
The Cute White and Pink Zipped Bag above definitely went with the theme. I especially love the inside of the bag Pink and White stripes (Sort of resembles V.Secret)  Cute job Ipsy!
So the first item i took out was this Big Sexy Hair Powder Play. Its a Volumizing and Texturing Powder. What you do is take the powder and rub alittle in your hand and rub it in your hair at  roots and it helps add volume to your hair. I couldve done without this but hey i dont mind trying it.

Next thing i took out is this full size Nail Polish by Sation in the shade Love at First Byte. Its a beautiful Peachy Nude color. it is pretty sheer so you might need a few coats to get the full color. Cant go wrong with nail polish in the spring, So once again ipsy, Good job!

Next this was this Mica Beauty Shimmer Powder in Earth. Its a loose powder in a shimmery  pink color. Its really pretty for spring, and i cant wait to do a few looks using this product. I believe this was a deluxe size product.

Last but certainly not least i took out this Blush from Be a bombshell in the shade Beach Please. Its Hot pink, and really pigmented. This is also a full size product. Everyone has been waiting for a blush and we finally recieved one. I have used this blush twice and love it. You do have to use lightly because of its pigmentation.

So this months bag was actually pretty good. I enjoyed some products and some i could do without.
So I give this bag a 8/10

A word from Crystal..

So in all that has happened i thought it was only right to post about our recent tragedy... It hurts and breaks my heart to hear stuff like this happening. I quickly was worried because i do have family that live and work in that area. So i contacted them and gladly everyone was okay. It saddens me to hear that there were  children that lost their lives and who were injured.
As a parent you begin to put yourself in these parents shoes and feel the pain and sadness one would go through following such a terrible tragedy.. All those people who were just laughing and enjoying the moment of watching a simple marathon with there families and friends to have to endure such a horrific sight.
I cant seem to comprehend how someone can do something so horrible. How can you put all these precious lives  in danger?..
I sit and think about my two children and how much plans my boyfriend and i have for these beautiful girls. It becomes terrifying at the thought of something bad happening to them, It makes me want to shield and protect them even more.. Even the mere thought of it makes me wanna break down and cry. Sometimes i just wonder if i can keep them home 24/7 and home school. But i do know they have to grow and i cant keep them under my watch 24/7.
My Prayers go out to all those who were affected. To those who were injured and to the families who lost their loved ones. To the parents of the children who they lost, and the children who will be traumatized by such events.
My heart goes out to all...

ThrowBack Thursday!!

So ive been seeing this around the blog world and heard about it on twitter and Instagram. Todays throwback will also let you guys alittle into my world and get to know something about me. It might be a pretty long post today.. So nobody really knows but i am a catholic and i do believe in god. I dont go around preaching and all that like others or try to put my beliefs on others. I am not perfect and i have to admit i dont go to church like i used to or pretty much at all right now.
Lets rewind 10 Years ago... Me at 17...

Back then there was this kinda of youth group for all ages called Jornada which is spanish and means Journey. Each church that participated in this youth group in each borough were known by what zone they lived in. Each zone also had a color that represented there zone, my zones color was orange. How they seperated the zones idk but my zone was three.. And ofcourse the best zone ever!! Everyone knew who we were and always seemed to want to come visit our group and even come to our events.. So when you first start coming to the group your considered a Pre J (Meaning you havent experienced your Jornada) and the Jornadistas (J's, who experienced their Journey) as you Continue to go to our weekly meeting (Tuesdays), you would learn life lessons and things church related. It wasnt (Boring) like going to mass. We would do skits, and play games and have activities that included all and would have a meaning behind it. A funny skit done that day may have a serious meaning, but we knew how to get our word across without preaching. So when your Jornadistas (J's) feel like a person in their group was ready to go on and experience their journey to christ they would nominate you to go do your jornada and if you accepted, you would go away for a weekend retreat. The fun thing is that you didnt know where the journey was or retreat was located, as any (prej) didnt know. You were taken there by fellow j's blindfolded..

And when you arrived in the building they took off your blindfold and as you looked around you noticed other girls from other zones who were chosen to live this jornada. As our fellow j's and family members left us all alone in this place we all look around trying to figure out who each other is and who will be our fellow sisters in this experience.

My Mom and I

The retreat begins thurs night and ends sunday. Your also given a J number which ours was 152. So throughout our weekend it was filled with lectures and activities and all that Jazz... And all us girls started to become closer. I was known at first as the one with the mean look or attitude.. But as they really got to know me they saw how cool and amazing i was ;-)...

My Room and Our Showers

My Sisters

So the reason for me choosing this story as my throwback thursday post is because this weekend will make 10 years since we experienced our Jornada (Journey) and we will be doing a Reunion which a few of us will get togther and go to dinner and just catch up... For some of us its been 10 years since we last seen or spoke to each other but that didnt stop us from talking to each other like time has never past. We have a bond with each other that no matter how much time goes by we will always be there for one another. So to my sisters if you read this post just know I Love you girls! And i cant wait to see to you this weekend!

*IPSY BAG*

Yay its that pink bag time again.. So i recieved my ipsy bag yesterday and this months theme is The Great Escape... With Spring and summer around the corner they are beginning to send out products for us to use in the upcoming months...

First things first is the bag.. I absolutely adore this months bag. Its a nautical anchor bag. The bag has this slumber bag type feel to it.. It kind of makes the scrunchy noise slumber bags make when moving lol but its cute. It has a sheer white interior lining with the ipsy label.. Its a cute and perfect bag for me to take to the beach or out for my summer adventures

First thing i grabbed from inside this bag was this Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist (Tones and refreshes). Its size is pretty good for a sample size.. Its 1 fl oz/30ml... It says to mist lightly on freshly cleansed skin throughout day for exhilarating refreshment. So you know me and as usual i smell everrrything.. And um im not too fond of the smell. It smells like dead flowers in the flower water that hasnt been changed... Lol im not a fan of flowers period so this smell isnt appealing but ill give this a try.

Next is this La Fresh travel-lite makeup remover wipes. It brings 8 remover wipes in this little cute pink pack. It smells sooo good.. Kinda like baby powder, a sweet lightweight scent that just smells so fresh.. I am a fan of quite a few different remover wipes but if i like this i might have to pick up some more packs for travel and on the go occasions... Even though i already have 4 different packs of remover wipes.. But HEY! You can never have too many right?

So the next three products go hand in hand. I recieved two eyeshadows from yaby cosmetics.. I have heard about this brand but not too much. These eyeshadow pans are pretty small compared to other eyeshadow pans i have. Now so far ive seen mixed reviews on these shadows on the ipsy site. People were complaining about the pigmentation but mines were somewhat pigmented.. I mean its not as much as bh cosmetics or as pigmented as other brands but its okay...it can be used dry or wet so ill play with it and see what i can come up with. The first shadow is called sand dune. Its a sand creme color that looks good on my skin tone. The second color is called so vein. Its a bright teal color that is so beauitful.. Great for a spring eye look...

And last but not least i recieved this small palette from Glam Rx. Now this palette is to put in eyeshadow pans.. It fits about eight of these small yaby eyeshadow pans, and maybe 3 mac pans. Its really cute pink packaging is adorable and small. It perfect for travel or just to put in your purse for daily touchups... Great job on this one ipsy!

Now too many people seem to be disappointed in the products we have been recieving in the bags lately and i honestly dont feel no way about it.. I pay $10 a month and i recieve all these products and cute bags each month thats well over the price i pay. Yes i would love to get products like urban decay and benefit but the whole point i signed up for this was to try out new products.. Stuff i never even heard of or would of bought. So to all those who complain, just do yourselves a favor and cancel your subscription. Plenty of people whos on waitlist would love to have your spot!!

Anyways im happy with what i recieved and thank you guys for reading.. Til next time stay beautiful!!
